Meet the Macbeth team
If there’s one thing that the Macbeth team has in common it’s an ongoing commitment to developing lasting relationships with each client and to work in partnership with you to secure the best insurance solution to your business or individual needs.
The driving force behind the company is managing director Paul Macbeth, ACII.
A Chartered Insurance Broker, Paul began working for his father’s business in 1992 and joined the company full time in 1994. He led a management buy out in 2010 and is devoting his great energy and passion for his profession in building upon his late father’s legacy. In addition, Paul is responsible for our key-corporate and private clients.
Paul holds three professional qualifications and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He was awarded with the British Insurance Brokers Association Young Broker of the Year for the Central & South East England region in 2011, and contributes regularly to leading industry publications and the media.
His spare time is devoted to playing golf, supporting Reading FC and eating out.
Tony Gibbs is our sales director. He joined the business shortly after it’s foundation in 1992 and brings over 30 years’ experience in corporate and commercial insurance. A dedicated and focused individual, Tony manages our key corporate clients and is responsible for the firm’s sales and marketing strategy. Tony regularly provides expert comment regarding corporate insurance to several leading industry publications.
Tony’s interests include playing golf, travelling and Formula 1.
Ben Butler, Cert CII, is Macbeth’s operations director. A product of the firm’s acclaimed trainee programme which he joined in 2000, Ben has complete responsibility for the day to day running of the business together with the managing of our key clients, both corporate and private. His talent and dedication was acknowledged in 2011 when shortlisted for the Chartered Insurance Institute young achiever of the year award.
His interests include football, golf, playing the guitar and travelling.
Each of our talented team benefits from a regular programme of training and development, and must meet our compulsory requirement of achieving their Certificate of Insurance, the core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the industry.
