For most people marine insurance probably conjures up images of goods being moved by sea. However, in insurance terms it relates to the whole marine sector and includes cover for the movement of goods worldwide by air, rail, road and sea. It goes above and beyond the cover provided by goods in transit insurance by including additional risks for UK domestic transits, warehousing, intercompany transits, exhibitions and returned goods. We are also able to provide cover for the liabilities of the logistics operators responsible for the carriage of goods, as well as providing cover for the contractual responsibilities of the carriers arranging the movement.
