We’re looking for an experienced Client Adviser

As part of our continued expansion we are looking for an experienced Client Adviser to join our fantastic team. Working as part of our Commercial & Technology team, as an experienced Client Adviser you will be Cert CII qualified (or willing to become so) and have an active knowledge of Acturis. You will have experience of working within a team of people and knowledge across multiple commercial product lines.

Job functions:

• Support the acquisition of new clients by the Client Director
• Support the retention of existing clients
• Assisting our claims team with product specific queries
• Process and analyse data to support business objectives
• Accurately prepare and issue documentation
• Prepare reports and market research
• General administration
• Attend meetings, both internal and external
• Maintain and develop relationships both internally and externally
• Comply with internal and external regulatory requirements

Job requirements in summary:

Knowledge – what’s required:

• Insurance market – A professional and current understanding of the insurance market, products and services. An acute commercial awareness and understanding of how the Client Adviser role supports the business
• Risk and regulatory – A professional and current understanding of general insurance and internal compliance activities required e.g. GDPR/Treating Customers Fairly. A comprehensive and current understanding of the role of the Financial Conduct Authority, other appropriate bodies and best business practice
• Clients and colleagues – An understanding of the importance of the relationships required to be successful in the role and to ensuring client needs are met
• Processes and procedures – A comprehensive and current understanding of processes and procedures relevant in own technical area of delivery and knowledge of the impact on the wider organisation and industry

Skills – what’s required:

• Technical ability – Adherence to Macbeth processes and procedures using technical ability and proficient IT skills to deliver good outcomes for the business
• Relationship development – The development and management of positive working relationships, through a variety of mediums, handling and resolving issues through effective verbal/written/IT skills
• Effective working – Ability to work in a variety of ways to achieve results, e.g. collaboratively or independently. Demonstrating attention to detail, appropriate time management and a problem solving approach to all work undertaken
