We’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hopefully you are able to spend some quality time with loved ones over the festive period. Or maybe you’re looking forward to perhaps putting your feet up and having a quieter, socially distanced break! Either way, we hope you are able to relax, reflect on 2020 and look forward to a more ‘ordinary’ 2021!
For any urgent out of hours enquiries, please contact your client manager’s on their mobile number or alternatively contact your insurer’s claims department directly, details of which you will find in your policy documentation.
A tough, yet rewarding year.
It’s safe to say that 2020 has been a challenging one for many, not least those working in the care sector and those in leisure and hospitality, who have been hit hard by the pandemic. As a professional services business we have been fortunate enough to be relatively sheltered from the day to day challenges of dealing with the virus. Being able to work effectively from home using tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, it’s been a case of service as usual, if not quite business as usual. We have made every effort to provide a covid-secure working environment for staff feeling the need to be in the office. Working from home can have it’s benefits, but it can take a toll on mental health. Our team is our family and we have made sure no one has been left isolated.
We are truly grateful for the consistency we have been afforded in 2020, and are thankful to our clients and for the efforts of others around us, such as those working in the NHS and other front line heroes who have been supporting the community and country. We are supporting this years Pride of Reading Awards which are focusing on recognising #FrontlineHeroes during the pandemic. It’s great to see the nominations coming in. Fingers crossed that we’re able have a physical event in the new year to celebrate.
Finally, to top 2020 off, we were delighted to discover we had become a top 100 broker! Via a combination of solid organic growth along with our acquisition of CMJ in 2019, our gross written premium (GWP) figure places us in the lower half of the top 100 independent insurance brokers in the UK. An achievement the late Malcolm Macbeth would be chuffed with!
Once again, from everyone here at Macbeth, have a good festive break and we look forward to hearing or dare we say it, seeing you in 2021!
